We got hacked!

If you noticed some strange things on the site recently it is because we were hacked by a Nigerian email spammer.

Allan, my long-suffering webmaster, has been recoding madly in the background to try and sort it all out, and with luck he’s managed to block them.

While he was at it, he thought the site might as well have a makeover too. Let me know what you think via the comments.

No bull!

There was no bull with our boy Chilli Beef when he went to our very first farmer’s market at Levendale Primary School! The idea of the market is to highlight our district which is only 45 minutes from Hobart and let people see first hand what a bloody good place this is to live and how beautiful our little school is.

The only trouble is, Chilli’s job was to poo randomly on numbered icypole sticks as part of the Bull Lotto competition, but he’s such a polite boy, no poo was forthcoming!

Instead we had to settle for a bull wee and the lucky winner was Margaret Harvey! Well done Margaret! Mary Donovan guessed the closest to his correct weight at 878 kilograms.

Thank you so much to Chris and Debbie Lee White of Jordan Poll Hereford Stud for leasing us such a quiet, quality bull to put on show! To reward Chilli Beef with his good behaviour he’s now out with his girlfriends.

The entire community worked so hard, donating time, energy and produce. We raised nearly $4,000 which will go towards building a co-op shed to sell our good, clean, lovingly created produce direct to city-folk.
