Uplifting night for all!

launch-2With my short-arse Tasmanian genetics I needed an apple crate to talk to the crowd at my book launch!

We had a crew of Levendale Primary Students on hand (including my Rosie) who rattled tins and raised $158 for our little country school. Thanks to all who donated!

The night was made even more special as we had a bus load of locals come down from our Valley to share in the fun.

Of course, the rare chance to use a lift resulted in many of the Levendale-ites getting stuck in one for an hour! My editor and publisher, Belinda and Ali, from Melbourne shared the experience!

They did have beer inside the lift and we were able to slide slices of pizza through a crack in the door, so most of them had a good time anyway!

Kathy Mace found it particularly up-lifting and Paul did enjoy being enclosed with nine women!

Hi there Rachael, I just have to say that I absolutley adore your books! I live in the North-Eastern Wheatbelt of W.A. on a Wheat & Sheep farm. Best lifestyle in the world!! I am always getting online to see when your next wonderful story is going to be released. I bawled my eyes out when I read your first book-it was sooooo moving. My family (hubby and 5 kids) have to just do without me for a day or two once I start reading one of your fantastic books. I can’t get to a bookshop easily so I wait for our postie with bated breath every time I have ordered your books online. Anyways, better go and pick up the kids from the school bus up at the gate and maybe shift a field bin or two! Keep Happy :) Warmest regards from one of your greatest fans!!!! Coochsgirl……

Hello Rachael, just wanted to thank you for your books. I was visiting Australia this year, saw them, bought Jillaroo, Stockman and Roustabout. When I got home I visited your sight and was sooooo excited to buy your dog training book. I punched the key to “buy” and then realized I bought an Ebook! I must admit I am a little computer ignorant and have no clue what to do now. Of course I was expecting something in the mail from PayPal but I now realize it is somewhere in my computer. Any thoughts would be appreciated and if you have the book in hard copy I would still love it. Keep writing and I will continue to follow your website. Look forward to actually meeting you some day as sheep, dogs and horses are my passion. Be well, Kelley from USA

Hi Im Hannah. I live near Hobart. unfortunately my family recently sold our farm in the southern midlands after my father died. Your books remind me of how much i love the land and cant wait to go back. I am 16 and already have dreams of studying Agriculture. I read your books over and over again. i think ive read The Rouseabout about 6 times. I hope there are more books to come. They are fabulous.

Hi there Rachael,
Absolutely love your books. I live at a little place named “Hillgrove Station” Northern NSW. This property has been in my husbands family for over 60 years. I have read all your books and last night in the middle of night finished off “The Cattlemans’s Daughter”. I have been saving it especially. It was so interesting to read your incredible story and the ideas around burning. Since I did “The Tree Change” from “Corporate Life to Farming Life” my husband has been trying to educate me about burning and how in Aus we are not doing the right thing. Your book has educated me as I was a little doubtful however now I can believe and understand. Your book has inspired me incredibly and given me new energy and hope for the future. I love your dogs and will be purchasing your “Doggy Book”..I have a Kelpie and Koolies as my family friends and working friends along side my Welsh Cob Stallion and our Quarter Horses. I urge you to write again when you have the time and all my very best with your new feed adventure. Thanking you from a Mom that is very gratefful for your time and creativity.
