People say hurry up and write my next book! Well I’m trying!

If you think I have a life where I swan glamorously into my writing studio to spend hours churning out a brilliant piece of prose, think again.

A born writer is one that writes no matter what and one who writes under any and all conditions. These are my conditions. Help! But I’m determined to meet my October publication deadline for The Cattleman’s Daughter!

Hi Rach,
Just finished reading The Stockmen and LOVED it as much as your others! And now I can’t wait until your newby comes out.
You are one of my favourite authors, so please don’t stop doing what you do so good.
Thank you for making my reading even more enjoyable.

i have just finished reading “jillaroo”. i loved it, and couldn’t put it down. what prompted me to read it apart from it being an australian tale was the fact that it included kelpies. we have a pure bred male kelpie that we got from a property at peak hill near parkes in nsw. my husband and i just love him to death.
upon finishing “jillaroo” i had to scan the net to see what else you have written and look forward to purchasing another of your books.
thankyou for such a great read. denise.

Hi Racheal,
Loved your books. I have been trying to find an email for you, but it is impossible!!!
Your books made me sooo jealous of your heritage and your husband’s heritage. I went searching for my own, why did I fall inlove with a Waler at first sight? I remembered my first time on a horse at my Uncles farm in Gippsland. That started a life of loving horses and being broke! I was dumb I guess for a long time not knowing why the hell he had horses on a Dairy farm that was mechanised?
Better late than never, thanks to your books and something in my blood, I now know so much more and found out about a long family friendship between my family and John’s. Small world isn’t it?
I have found out some great stories and hilarious happenings and can’t wait till I get my first Waler, the first horse I ever rode.
I know you are extremely busy but would love a chance to tell you of my findings and how this all came about it is stranger than fiction.
Keep up the great work, love the ute too!

Hi Rach,
I was given 1 of your books as christmas gift, It rekindled my love of reading. I hadn’t read anything for years, I’ve since read all your books & gone on to carve all australiana stories. Keep the books coming. Love the stories of romance, horses & dogs.

Dear Rachael…don’t give up, your books are the only good ole aussie romance I get anymore!!! Seriously, I’m sure out of all your fans we could look after the kids and feed the chooks and dogs while you quickly belt out the next best seller!!! Hang in there, I’ll be waiting…impatiently for your next one.

Dear Rachael. I am looking forward to your new book so much. You are such a great writer. So easy to read….and time and time again. There is such a great divide in really good Aussie fiction. In particular contemporary rural/outback fiction. Although I do really love historical australian fiction, such as that written by Tamara McKinley and Aaron Fletcher, your books are my all time favourites.

Thank you for making your website available with little glimpses into your personal life. All the very best to you.

Hi Rachael – so glad you are working on your next book, I’ve read the others numerous times and looking forward to the next! Your characters are so easy to relate to, especially for those who grew up in the country (I’m a NZ country girl :) ). Keep up the great work, and thank you for continuing to write despite your busy lifestyle! We all appreciate it.
