Spring grass year-round

Jess enjoying her 'fast grass'
Despite the fact we’ve had the wettest winter and spring in decades and the paddocks are lush, our horses soon took to the feed.
Once the summer dries off the paddocks it’s going to be great to offer this fresh green pick to our horses, sheep and cattle.
At first we mixed it in with the horses’ normal dry feed and they ate around the sprouts but by day three as you can see Jess was chomping into the fodder, roots and all. It’s a great source of protein for horses and helps keep their gut healthy.
If you want more nutritional information go to the Foddertech website. Stay tuned for where you can purchase your supply of T&T Fastgrass in Tasmania’s south.

Looking good!

It looks like Jess is enjoying it. How do you package it for sale? I mean hay comes in a bale, chaff in a bag etc. My daughter has horses and she will be buying bales of lucerne hay soon. So when your fastgrass is available how do we buy it? I am very interested in this and think it is a fantastic idea. I also love the fact that it will be available year round. cheers Kim
Rachael,
I need to get personal, how big is your fodder factory? How much did it cost you? We are moving to a bigger property when ours sells (in NSW) and are looking at doing the same thing.
We havn’t been to see any that are working yet but I am very keen to learn and watch you with your experiences. Any information that you can give me would be much appreciated.
