First time nerves

Doggone love

She would flirt, she would frolic, she would scamper and play, but when Jock wanted to get down to business, Connie wasn’t being wooed … not this time round anyway.

Yes, the planned joining of Connie and Jock is all on hold.

But some things are meant to be. When we checked the dates, our hypothetical litter of Kelpies would have been born just when I’m on my writer’s tour of Queensland which finishes at the Brisbane Writer’s Festival.

So the boy next door will have to wait until our Connie comes in season again — but even then, we’re not counting our chickens before they hatch or our Kelpies before they come!

Hi Rachel

I came across your site by a matter of co-incidence! I only just finished reading your two books! I couldn’t put them down. It was the best read I have had in a long time!

I was actually doing some research on Kelpie studs and I too, have plans to breed them one day.

I’ve been a country girl all my life and Dad’s kelpies have always been apart of that. I’ve been out of home for just under 7 years, and decided that was time for my very own Choc & Tan pup!

Will was an extremly gentle, loyal and intelligent pup — the best I have had anything to do with. At 20 wks old — he was ran over & killed instantly — chasing his dad.

I was just heartbroken and gutted when I received the phone call at work. I was just blown away that he was such a great impact on my life in such a short time.

This pup has been my inspiration to set up my own stud!

Good luck with Connie!

Best of luck with next book. I look forward to reading it!

Take care

Sheree
